I have always been curious about the universe and what the purpose of life is. I grew up in a very religious family, blind belief in God did not help me understand why bad things happened to good people or help me heal from the painful experience I had. As an adult I turned to science to help me understand the mysteries of life. I hold a B.S. in Nano Engineering from UCSD. What I learned in my physics and quantum mechanics classes is that science is about first observing a phenomenon, then creating a theory about why it happens and testing to see if that theory holds true. Astrology is one of the oldest sciences with roots dating back to the 3rd Millennium BCE and just like the laws in math and physics, Astrology works. I started studying Astrology in 2020 at Kepler College and have been amazed at how well it has been able to make sense of my life and describe my clients lives.
Why I got into astrology
When I was in my 20's I really struggled with finding my purpose. I knew I had one, I could feel it but I didn't know how to listen to that inner guiding voice. I met an astrologer in a yoga class and got my first astrology reading. I was shocked how this complete stranger could put words to my deepest emotions and seemed to understand parts of me that I had hidden even from myself. I was skeptical but started taking classes and doing intense self study, reading every book I could get my hands on, so that I could learn more about myself and others. I have found that Astrology is only of the best tools to help me course correct areas of my life that are out of alignment with my highest good.
Healing
Once we understand our gifts and know our selves through Astrology the next step is healing the wounds that the world has given us so we can start to use our gifts! This is where Inner Child Healing comes in. Inspired by the Internal Family Systems Therapy model and Somatic Experiencing, I will guide you to get in touch with your bodies physical sensations and the wisdom it is trying to offer. I came to this process through working with my own grief, depression and physical pain. I will guide you through a meditation like process where you can begin to nurture your inner child. This process does take time but will last a lifetime. I recommend committing to at least 5 -10 sessions so that your inner child can really start to trust you and feel safe to heal the big hurts.
When you heal your inner child, you will have a deep knowing that, "I am loved and I am safe."
Astrology can help you understand your subconscious patterns. What does that mean? Subconscious patterns are what make you act in ways that you are not aware of.
For example, do you know how you communicate? If you have the planet Mercury in Aries, maybe you speak quickly/ sharply and you're not sure why you always seem to offend people. Instead of being ashamed for being talkative, quiet or angry, Astrology looks at the WHY behind your action. If you speak in an abrupt way is it because your soul came into this life with a desire to be courageous? Maybe in a past life, or in your childhood you learned that to be heard you had to yell. When you become aware of these subconscious patterns you can then choose how it comes out. There are high vibe ways to be outspoken and courageous and there are low vibe ways. Ex. When you feel a need to fight for your truth you could take deep belly breaths, speak clearly and from a heart centered place (high vibe) or you could start turning red, shouting and clenching your fists (low vibe). The choice is now yours because you are conscious that your soul came into this would to be courageous in your speech.
There is freedom and power in learning who you were born to be.
It doesn't matter if you had the best parents and childhood or the most traumatic, we all have wounds.
Maybe it was that school teacher who told you, "you're stupid" or maybe it was growing up in an emotionally/physically abusive home either way that hurt little child needed protecting and that was the moment a protective part of you was created. These protective parts of us have good intentions but often have negative traits that mess up our lives. For example, if you were told that you're stupid, a protective part might get activated now any time that you have something hard to do. A big exam or work project coming up? This protective part can help you push away the pain of feeling stupid by making you procrastinate by watching TikTok's, binge eating, disassociating, etc. When you heal your inner child and release the belief that you're stupid, you no longer need to procrastinate because you know that you are smart, capable and can do what you set your mind to.
You have the ability to heal your deepest hurts.
